The last two days I have woken up to a cold bedroom and "dreary" weather outside as my husband likes to call it. Since when did it start to turn from Summer to Fall? I love it! We took Daisy to the dog park yesterday and I was actually cold and wished I had brought a sweater! I love it!
This is seriously my favorite time of year! The leaves start to change colors and fall, it gets darker much earlier, everything feels so cozy, sweaters, jackets and scarfs make their way out from being put away for so many months, and my absolute favorite is that I get to use my harvest candles which make the house smell sooo good! It was really cute, Darren was out working hard on the property and I wanted him to come home to a nice looking, good smelling house. So I quickly tidied up and lit the harvest candle and put dinner in the oven. When he walked in he literally stopped, smelled the air and said "Aww, the house smells so good! It smells and feels like when we first got married." which nearly brought me to tears. We have been married for over a year and to have a memory of "when we first got married" and to think back to when we first moved in and how we tried to make it as homey as we could with what little we had is just so special to me and probably one of my favorite times I have ever shared with Darren. I love this weather! It just makes you think of fond memories and gets you all soft and squishy on the inside!
On a side note, I had my first Pumpkin Spice Latte from starbucks yesterday which was heavenly! I can't wait till it gets closer to Christmas and I get to have my Gingerbread Latte's! But then again, that means we will be so much closer to Christmas then we already are! Do you realize Christmas is only a little more than 3 months away! Aggh! So much to get done!!! But I can't wait. We are going to try and go to London to stay with Darren's mom for Christmas this year. Lets pray those ticket prices keep going down :)
Well, this was a fun and reminiscent post for me! I hope everyone is as excited for Fall as I am! And I hope everyone enjoys this much cooler, lovely weather!

WAHOO!!! I love this weather too! I actually got to dress the boys up warmly on Friday! haha!
