Last night Darren and I actually got dressed up and headed over to Cynthia Newbern's house for the Annual Thanksgiving Party. We had SO much fun. Life has been so crazy lately that we never really get out of the house other than running errands or going to the dog park so this was some well deserved socialization that we have been craving.
The party was a potluck and I was in charge of the Green Bean Bake! Can I say YUUMY! There was so much food, turkey ham, mac and cheese, candied yams, stuffing, cranberry sauce and even homemade pecan pie for dessert! We were all well fed.
There were quite a few people there. A lot of people I haven't seen in years and it was so much fun catching up. It was surreal to see these friends that I grew up with that are now married and proud parents. Life has changed so much for us all but everyone was so happy and content with where there lives have taken them. We are really "grown ups" now :)
Most people left around 10:00 but Analiza, myself and Darren stayed till 1:00am and to be honest I could have stayed so much longer. We just sat around, sipped on some wine and talked and laughed. We shared stories and memories we all had of each other growing up and it was really, so much fun. We knew we missed hanging out with people, but being there last night we realized how much we needed it! We are all going to try and hang out more, have some date nights, take turns having get togethers at each others houses and I can't wait!
Thank you Cynthia for having us at your lovely home. Thank you for being such a wonderful hostess. And thank you for making us feel so welcome and creating a truly fun fun night for us!
Next up...My birthday! That's right. November 12th, only 3 days away till I turn the big 27!!! Ohmygosh, three years till 30!!! Im really looking forward to this birthday though. I have a birthday dinner planned with my family and a birthday dinner planned with my friends! Its going to be great!

No Thank you so smuch for coming!!! We all had a blast and Im so happy you and Darren had a good time. Yes Please let me know when we can all hang out again, Eric and i would lve to spend more time with you guys. Yay!!! Your birthday dinner!!! I will try my best to make it!! i have to find a sitter for the girls. I know your bithday was yesterday but please know that i prayed for your day and I hope you have many more birthdays and many more wonderful blessings! Love ya!
